Functions (Content of AH) | Description |
00 | Terminate the program, we can also use function 4CH instead |
01 | Read a character from the standard input device. The character read is returned to AL and echoed |
02 | Send a character contained in DL to the standard output device. |
05 | Send a character in Dl to the parallel printer port. |
07 | Read a character from standard input device. The character is returned to AL but not echoed. |
09 | Sends a string of characters to the standard output device. DX contains the offset address of string must be terminated by ‘$’ |
0Ah | Reads a string from the user until the user presses . DX points to the location whose 1st byte gives the maximum characters allowed to enter and the byte next stores the actual no of characters entered and the rest space stores the characters entered. |
