Govt may last for 20 years Dahal

UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Baburam Bhattarai-government can last as long as 20 years if no agreement was forged among political parties. Addressing a press conference organized by the Revolutionary JournalistAssociation in Lahan on Saturday, Dahal claimed that present governmentwill continue if there is no agreement and no Constituent Assembly election.
He blamed that the leaders of Nepali Congress want to tale the country to the situation of 2017 BS, but their dreams will not be fulfilled. "Street demonstration by NC and CPN-UML demanding the resignation of the government that is already caretaker is baseless", Dahal said addinghe had integrated former combatants with a risk and give a political
outlet for the country.
He opined that an NC-led consensus government can be formed if the five- point agreement with NC and UML is abided by. Accusing that the Constituent Assembly (CA) was dissolved because of the anti-federalism activities of NC and UML, he made it clear that his party was active to establishing the achievements of the people's movement.
Dahal said the federalist alliance was not aimed at anyone but was for political outlet for the country, and agreement was made to go for CA election jointly in the days ahead for establishing progressive rights of the people.On the return of the ordinances on election by the president recommended by the government, Dahal said he could not comprehend well anything from this.
